In the Eastern Han Dynasty, there was a man named Sun Jing. He was a famous politician.
At first, because of the shallow knowledge of the reuse, even family members despise him, make him sad, determined to seriously study, often closed the door, reading alone. Day reading, is often neglected. Read a long time, tired, still do not rest.
After a long time, he is so tired that he can't sleep. He was afraid to influence his study and read, and he came up with a special idea. In ancient times, men had long hair. He would find a rope, a head firmly tied to the beam. When he was tired of reading, he nodded his head down, and the rope would hold his hair. It would cause the scalp to hurt and he would wake up immediately and continue to read and study. This is the Sun Jing "cantilever" story.
