Forging: The simplest and oldest metal forming process is to shape metal by hammering and extrusion under cold or hot working conditions.
Tie-up: The high temperature metal blank section passes through several continuous cylindrical rollers which tuck the metal into the die to obtain a preset shape.
Drawing steel wire: The process of drawing metal bars into fine wires by means of a series of progressively smaller drawing dies.
Extrusion: A low-cost, continuous process with the same cross-section shape, solid or hollow metal shape that permits both high-temperature operation and cold working.
Impact extrusion: Process used to process small to medium sized parts without taper requirements. It is fast to produce and can process parts with various wall thicknesses at low cost.
Powder metallurgy: A process that processes both ferrous and non-ferrous metal elements.
